A Case of Malignant Mixed Tumor Arising from the Extrahepatic Bile Duct

Abstract
|
|
|
A case of malignant mixed tumor of the main hepatic duct in a 49-year-old woman is
reported and a review of the literature is made. The tumor was a polypoid mass, which
occluded the common hepatic duct. Histologically the tumor wart composed of various
components representing, each adenocarcinoma, fibrosarcoma and osteogenic sarcoma.
Interesting finding was diffusely scattered argyrophilic cells at adenocarcinoma area by
Grimelius staining.
This appears to be the thirst case of malignant mixed tumor of the extrahepatic bile
duct.
